Foundation stone laid for 4-lane highway over bridge between Guntur and Nambur costing 108 crore

New Delhi [India], September 27 (ANI): In a significant initiative for city mobility and rail security beneath the imaginative and prescient of “New Railways, New Andhra Pradesh”, the inspiration stone for a four-lane Road Over Bridge (ROB) between Guntur and Nambur railway stations was laid in the present day by the Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, V Somanna, together with Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar. 

According to a press launch issued by the Ministry of Railways, the challenge was sanctioned at an estimated price of 108 Crore, with the complete price borne by the Ministry of Railways; the 668-metre four-lane ROB will substitute Level Crossing (LC) Gate No. 3 on the Guntur-Krishna Canal part of the Guntur-Nambur line. Situated close to the Inner Ring Road of Guntur City, the bridge connects Bus Stand Road immediately with Gorantla Village. Requiring 2.9 acres of land, development work is scheduled to start shortly.

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, V Somanna, stated that Indian Railways accords prime precedence to passenger security and operational effectivity.
