Konishiki, a former sumo wrestler and present tv persona, held a press convention at a hospital in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, on December twenty third, revealing that he had been affected by kidney failure.
The 60-year-old was hospitalized on November twentieth and underwent a kidney transplant on December 4th, receiving the organ from his spouse, Chie, aged 48. His restoration has been progressing properly, and he was discharged from the hospital on December twenty third.
