Next spring, she’ll tour the album, hitting 23 cities throughout North America. The “It’s Not That Deep” Tour kicks off April 8 on the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, and concludes May 25 on the Toyota Center in Houston.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Lovato mentioned her new album, her penchant for musical transformation and her forthcoming tour.

AP: You’ve stated this new album, this new period, is a celebration of your journey. You’re embracing the previous, new, good, unhealthy — from popping out on stage with the Jonas Brothers and singing “Camp Rock” stuff to the Poot meme. Are you reclaiming it?
LOVATO: I feel it’s a little bit of proudly owning it. … I suppose I didn’t understand that I’ve accomplished iconic issues.
