China’s exports of rare-earth magnets to Japan fell by greater than half in July from a 12 months earlier, whereas shipments of tungsten carbide remained at zero for a sixth consecutive month, based on commerce information launched by Chinese customs authorities.
Exports of rare-earth magnets from China to Japan totaled 111 tons in July, down 52.2% from the identical month a 12 months earlier.
The decline was the steepest since June 2025, marking the biggest year-on-year drop in a single 12 months and one month.
