China wins sixth straight ladies’s seashore volleyball gold at Asiad

NINGBO, China, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) — Xue Chen and Xia Xinyi eased previous Miki Ishii and Sayaka Mizoe of Japan 2-0 as China claimed its sixth consecutive ladies’s seashore volleyball title on the Asian Games right here on Wednesday.

Xue’s serves helped China set up a four-point lead on the opening stage. Japan’s spikes have been constantly restrained by China’s blocks, and China took the primary set 21-11.

The second set was shut, however Xia stepped as much as rating consecutive factors. After Japan spiked out of courtroom, China secured a 21-13 victory.

Xue, who received gold medals at Doha 2006 and Guangzhou 2010, was glad along with her efficiency.

“I think it is the heritage of the Chinese team. We have always adhered to high standards and conducted strict training. That’s why we can get China’s sixth straight gold medal today,” she mentioned.

China has received the ladies’s seashore volleyball gold in every version of the Asian Games since Busan, South Korea in 2002.

The males’s seashore volleyball gold medal of the Hangzhou Asiad will probably be awarded on Thursday.
