China accuses Japan of smear marketing campaign

Beijing summoned Tokyo’s envoy on Sunday, urging to cease ‘stoking confrontation?

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong summoned Japanese Ambassador Hideo Tarumi on Sunday in response to a big selection of accusations made in opposition to Beijing on the G7 summit in Hiroshima.

Japan, which at present holds the rotating presidency of the Group of Seven, has sided with Western nations in “smearing and attacking” China, in addition to meddling in its home affairs, Sun mentioned, as quoted by CGTN.

“The Chinese side is strongly dissatisfied, and resolutely opposes it,” the diplomat mentioned, urging G7 members to “stop creating and stoking bloc confrontation.”

In a joint communique printed on Saturday, the G7 accused China of “economic coercion,” human rights abuses, and inciting tensions within the Taiwan Strait.

The Japanese Embassy in China launched an announcement on Sunday, saying that Tarumi advised Sun that the considerations raised by the G7 had been “justified” and will likely be voiced once more “if China does not change its behavior.”

Beijing beforehand accused the Group of Seven of looking for to impose an “America-first” mannequin on the world, and warned that it will fail.

The G7 consists of the US, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan.
