Mitsubishi UFJ Bank and different establishments are transferring to revise guidelines on using secure deposit bins following a string of thefts, with the Japanese Bankers Association now working towards a ban on storing money in these bins.
The affiliation is contemplating updating the usual template utilized by member banks to draft inner guidelines for secure deposit field utilization. In March, the Financial Services Agency had already issued draft supervisory pointers calling for a ban on money storage and urging monetary establishments to incorporate such provisions of their rules.
