The bomb squad has attended a house in Adelaide’s north after explosives have been allegedly discovered on the property final night time.
SA Police mentioned its Bomb Response Unit had since safely eliminated the supplies from the Elizabeth Park property, after securing the realm.
A resident — a 55-year-old man — has been arrested and charged with possessing directions and provides for the manufacture of explosives, in addition to drug offences.
Police mentioned chemical substances recognized as “volatile explosive materials”, together with hashish vegetation, have been found “throughout the property” on the Waytown Street tackle.
They have since mentioned the matter just isn’t terror-related, and that it was not essential to evacuate the road.
“Everyone on Waytown [Street] was contacted by police and asked to remain inside their home while the experts went to work,” Detective Chief Inspector David Huddy mentioned.
“There’s no indication of terrorism or terrorism offending at this time.”

Asked whether or not fireworks have been being made on the home, Chief Inspector Huddy mentioned explosive materials had been “identified, safely handled and removed”.
“There were numerous small quantities of material — chemicals, powders,” he mentioned.
“There was a variety of small amounts of explosives and precursors.
“Now comes the evaluation of how a lot of a menace this materials was to the individual inside the home or past.”
Waytown Street was closed to traffic and police asked the public to avoid the area, but they said there was no threat to neighbouring properties.
The 55-year-old was also charged with cultivating and possessing cannabis.
Police mentioned he would face the Elizabeth Magistrates Court, and have urged anybody with info to contact Crime Stoppers.
