An All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight certain for Saga Airport made an emergency touchdown at Naha Airport in Okinawa at 10:05 p.m. on September 23 after growing bother with its proper engine shortly after takeoff, with some passengers struggling minor accidents throughout an emergency evacuation.
ANA Flight 1502 had departed Naha Airport shortly earlier than 9 p.m. when the plane detected an issue with its proper engine whereas airborne, prompting the crew to show again and make an emergency touchdown.
Following the touchdown, all 152 passengers evacuated the plane utilizing emergency slides. Some passengers sustained minor accidents in the course of the evacuation.
Passengers have been instructed to stay calm as they left the plane, with an announcement stating, “No flames are visible. Please remain calm as you disembark.”
One passenger described the horrifying moments aboard the plane, saying, “There was a tremendous rattling noise and vibration, and everyone was quite nervous.”
Another passenger stated the announcement of an emergency evacuation induced additional panic. “When they announced the emergency evacuation, we panicked even more, and I ran to escape to protect my family.”
The flight had been organized as an extra service following the cancellation of one other flight certain for Fukuoka. It was scheduled to land at Saga Airport as an alternative as a result of its late-night arrival would have fallen exterior Fukuoka Airport’s working hours.
