Actor Noriko Ohara, voice of Nobita in 'Doraemon' anime sequence, dies at 88

Actor Noriko Ohara, a star of common Japanese anime sequence “Doraemon,” who lent her voice to important characters together with Nobita Nobi, a slipshod boy in search of the assistance of feline robotic Doraemon, has died, her company stated Tuesday. She was 88.

Ohara, a Tokyo native whose authorized identify was Noriko Tobe, voiced Nobita from 1979 when TV Asahi started airing the anime sequence till she was changed by Megumi Ohara in 2005.

Her company 81produce Co stated she died on July 12. The reason for her loss of life was not disclosed.

Other characters she voiced included Conan, the protagonist of “Future Boy Conan,” and Peter, a goatherd in “Heidi, Girl of the Alps.”

She additionally did Japanese voice-overs for Western movies, together with for roles portrayed by Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve and Jane Fonda.
