BEIJING, April 8 (Xinhua) — The home motion comedy “Ride On” topped the Chinese field workplace chart on Friday, the primary day of its launch on the Chinese mainland, based on statistics from the China Movie Data Information Network.
Starring kung fu actors Jackie Chan and Wu Jing, the movie pays tribute to stunt actors for motion films who typically work in dangerous circumstances.
The movie generated 21.79 million yuan (about 3.17 million U.S. {dollars}) in field workplace earnings on Friday.
The Chinese adaptation of the basic Japanese household drama “Hachiko” got here in second, grossing round 10.83 million yuan.
It was adopted by the Japanese animated fantasy journey movie “Suzume,” which raked in 9.69 million yuan.
