Japanese language faculty banned from accepting college students over human rights abuse

A Japanese language faculty in Sendai City, northeastern Japan, has been banned from accepting overseas college students for 5 years over human rights violations. The faculty allegedly obstructed the scholars’ profession decisions.

On Monday, the Immigration Services Agency punished Mirainomori Gakuen positioned in Sendai’s Aoba Ward. The company mentioned that between round 2017 and July 2021, the college instructed college students to pay a penalty of as much as 3 million yen, or about 21,000 {dollars}, for desirous to discover a job and stop the college.

Between round 2016 and December 2021, the college collected as much as about 2,100 {dollars}, from dozens of scholars as a deposit for going to school.

But the college reportedly didn’t return the cash to some college students who wished to search out employment.
