NEW YORK, March 29 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar strengthened in late buying and selling on Wednesday, amid weak point within the Japanese yen.
The dollar index, which measures the buck in opposition to six main friends, rose 0.21 p.c to 102.6478.
In late New York buying and selling, the euro elevated to 1.0843 U.S. {dollars} from 1.0842 {dollars} within the earlier session, and the British pound was all the way down to 1.2314 U.S. {dollars} from 1.2336 {dollars} within the earlier session.
The U.S. dollar purchased 132.67 Japanese yen, larger than 130.79 Japanese yen of the earlier session. The U.S. dollar was all the way down to 0.9190 Swiss francs from 0.9193 Swiss francs, and it fell to 1.3570 Canadian {dollars} from 1.3603 Canadian {dollars}. The U.S. dollar rose to 10.4090 Swedish Kronor from 10.3516 Swedish Kronor.
