A spectacular sea of clouds appeared over Mount Oe in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto Prefecture, on the morning of September 30, creating a panoramic panorama because the rising solar progressively turned the mist a deep crimson.
The phenomenon emerged round 5:30 a.m., simply because the sky started to brighten. Known in Japan as a “sea of clouds,” it happens when radiative cooling causes water vapor close to the bottom to condense into mist, forming a blanket of clouds throughout the panorama. As daylight reaches the mist, it takes on a reddish glow, producing an virtually otherworldly scene.
