Four employees had been killed after being struck by a restricted categorical prepare whereas finishing up vegetation-clearing work on the tracks at Shin-Kanuma Station on the Tobu Nikko Line in Kanuma, Tochigi Prefecture, on August 20.
Emergency companies obtained a name at round 10:50 a.m. reporting that employees had been struck by a prepare on the station.
According to police, round seven folks had been finishing up weed-clearing work on the railway tracks when 4 of them had been struck by the restricted categorical prepare.
A passenger on the prepare mentioned it got here to an abrupt halt shortly after getting into the station. “As soon as we entered the station, the emergency brakes were applied. The train stopped suddenly and hasn’t moved since,” the passenger mentioned.
Fire division officers mentioned the 4 victims had been males believed to be of their 50s and 60s.
All 4 had been unconscious once they had been taken to hospital and had been later confirmed lifeless.
Police and different authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
