Sony and TSMC Invest 1 Trillion Yen in Next-Generation Sensors

Sony Group and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. introduced on August 11 that they’ve formally agreed to collectively produce next-generation picture sensors, with complete funding anticipated to achieve about 1 trillion yen and mass manufacturing scheduled to start in Kumamoto Prefecture in 2029.

The two firms plan to fabricate the superior sensors at a semiconductor plant in Kumamoto as they search to determine large-scale manufacturing of the following technology of imaging know-how.
