Two individuals discovered lifeless in a collapsed residence following a landslide in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, have been recognized as a married couple of their 60s who lived on the property, metropolis officers stated.
Record rainfall triggered a landslide within the Omata district of Ashikaga on Friday, July 17, sending earth and particles into the primary ground of a two-story residence and inflicting the constructing to break down.
A girl was present in cardiac arrest on the web site on the night of July 18, whereas a person was found in the identical situation on the evening of July 19. Both had been confirmed lifeless on the scene.
Ashikaga officers stated on July 20 that the victims had been Masao Nagahama, 65, and his spouse Noriko Nagahama, 66.
