Indonesian Man Dies After Jumping Into Waterfall

Two males died on July 11 in separate water accidents in Aichi and Gifu prefectures, together with an Indonesian man who apparently drowned after leaping right into a waterfall basin and a fisherman swept away whereas attempting to get well his fishing gear.

According to police, shortly after midday on July 11, an individual close to Ushi no Taki, a waterfall on the Sakai River in Higashikami, Toyokawa, Aichi Prefecture, referred to as firefighters to report that somebody who had entered the waterfall basin had not come again out. Firefighters discovered a person submerged on the backside of the waterfall and took him to a hospital, the place he was later confirmed useless.

The man was recognized as Naufal Angga Munajat, 24, an Indonesian nationwide dwelling in Mizuho, Gifu Prefecture. He had gone to the river with a gaggle of 4 women and men and is believed to have drowned after leaping alone into the waterfall basin.

In a separate accident, a person fishing for ayu sweetfish within the Hida River in Gero, Gifu Prefecture, was swept away at round 2:30 p.m. on July 11. He was later discovered submerged on the riverbed and was pronounced useless on the hospital the place he was taken.

The man was recognized as Aiichi Miki, 65, an organization operator from Nakatsugawa. Police consider Miki drowned after attempting to swim after fishing gear that had been carried away by the river.
