The Minnesota Twins chosen the contract of veteran right-hander Austin Voth from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.
In a corresponding transfer, the Twins optioned right-hander Cody Lawyerson to St. Paul.
Voth, 33, was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in three begins for St. Paul, placing out 17 batters in 13 1/3 innings since signing a minor league contract on June 4.
Voth was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA, 5 walks and one strikeout in six innings over two aid appearances earlier this season for the Toronto Blue Jays, who granted him free company on June 1.
He is 17-19 with a 4.77 ERA in 209 video games (39 begins) in elements of eight seasons with the Washington Nationals (2018-22), Baltimore Orioles (2022-23), Seattle Mariners (2024) and Blue Jays (2026). He pitched for Chiba Lotte in Japan final season.
Laweryson, 28, was 1-0 with one save, a 5.06 ERA, and 18 strikeouts in 16 innings over 14 aid appearances this season.
