A Japanese serow, a species designated by the federal government as a Special Natural Monument, entered a financial institution in Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture, on the afternoon of April 27.
According to police, authorities obtained a report shortly after midday {that a} wild animal had wandered into the financial institution close to Kashiwazaki Station.
After evacuating prospects to a protected space, financial institution workers confirmed that the animal had moved into the ATM part. They then lowered the shutter and confined it inside.
