Two ladies attacked in Speer, Platt Park neighborhoods, Denver police say

Denver police are in search of a person or males suspected of attacking two ladies within the metropolis’s Speer and Platt Park neighborhoods in January, officers stated.

The assaults occurred within the 1300 block of South Grant Street at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and the intersection of South Grant Street and East Ellsworth Avenue at 8:50 p.m. Jan. 27, the Denver Police Department stated in a news launch.

“In the first incident, a Good Samaritan helped the female who was being attacked,” police officers stated. “In the second incident, the victim fought back and screamed until the suspect fled.”

It’s not clear if the suspects are the identical particular person or what motivated the assaults, police stated.

In an announcement, Police Chief Ron Thomas requested individuals to be further vigilant, particularly whereas working at night time.

“We understand that these incidents create fear in our communities, and we are utilizing every investigative means to find the person(s) who attacked these women,” Thomas stated.
