Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 18 (ANI): Prayagraj Divisional Commissioner Soumya Agarwal on Sunday emphasised that three crore devotees have already taken a holy dip through the Magh Mela on the auspicious event of Magh Mela.
She added that whereas crowds proceed to throng the ghats, the state of affairs stays regular within the metropolis.
‘Today, on the event of Mauni Amavasya, greater than 3 crore devotees have already taken the holy dip… There is a steady crowd on the ghats… Everything is regular.’ Agarwal informed ANI.
Earlier, flower petals had been showered on the devotees who arrived for a ‘snaan’ on the Sangam in Prayagraj on the occassion of Mauni Amavasya. During the competition, the helicopter showered flower petals on the massive gathering of devotees current on the Ghat for a holy dip through the ongoing Magh Mela.
On this occassion, Prayagraj District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma acknowledged that the ritual of the holy bathtub started at 12 midnight. He famous that regardless of heavy fog all through the night time, devotees continued to reach in massive numbers, and the inflow of pilgrims remained robust since morning. He additionally mentioned that round 3 crore devotees had taken the holy dip by 12 PM.
‘The bathtub on Mauni Amavasya bathtub began at 12 o’clock at night time. The devotees proceed to reach. The Prayagraj District Magistrate additional acknowledged that the Magh Mela is continuing in an organised method, and safety officers are deployed throughout all sectors to make sure security within the space.
