FUKUOKA, Jan 08 (News On Japan) –
A Japan Airlines flight certain for Haneda got here to a halt at Fukuoka Airport on the night time of January seventh after its nostril gear struck a taxiway mild whereas the plane was transferring towards the runway for takeoff, in line with Fukuoka International Airport and the airline.
The incident occurred when Japan Airlines Flight 332, scheduled to depart at 9:10 p.m., was taxiing alongside a curved part of the taxiway and was unable to finish the flip, inflicting the entrance wheel to make contact with the taxiway lighting.
The plane tried to return to a parking spot for inspection, however with no vacant stands obtainable, it was left stranded on the taxiway. The aircraft was finally moved again to a parking space at round 11 p.m., and the flight was canceled. None of the 288 passengers on board had been injured.
While the taxiway mild was broken within the incident, airport officers mentioned there was no impression on the takeoffs or landings of different plane. Japan Airlines mentioned it’s investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and the detailed trigger.
