NAGANO, Sep 24 (News On Japan) –
A pageant float overturned at Ikeda Hachiman Shrine in Ikeda, Nagano Prefecture, on the night time of September twenty third, injuring 5 youngsters.
According to police, the float, about 4 meters tall, toppled contained in the shrine grounds at round 9 p.m. Twenty-one folks, each adults and kids, have been using on it, and 5 youngsters aged between 9 and 14 sustained minor accidents.
A witness described the second of the accident, saying, “I thought it might have been going a little too fast. When it turned the corner, it leaned slightly, and before I knew it, it had tipped over with a crash.”
Eight floats have been paraded on the shrine through the pageant. Police are investigating the reason for the accident.
