Anti-Voyeurism Mirror Installed in Fukuoka

FUKUOKA, Jul 23 (News On Japan) –
To fight a rising variety of voyeurism instances in Fukuoka’s Tenjin district, an “anti-voyeurism mirror” was put in on July twenty third beside an escalator at Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station.

The mirror, designed to supply a large subject of view, is meant to lift public consciousness and deter inappropriate images on station premises. The initiative was led by the We Love Tenjin Council, a neighborhood group comprising native companies, which collaborated with police to implement the measure.

A consultant from the council mentioned, “Unfortunately, voyeurism is still happening daily. We hope this mirror will help reduce the number of victims and allow people to use the station with peace of mind.”
