Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 17 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Okay Kavitha on Thursday accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of ‘gifting’ the water of Gadavari River to Andhra Pradesh, throughout a gathering with CM Chandrababu Naidu and Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil.
Okay Kavitha demanded the resignation of Revanth Reddy, saying {that a} CM ‘who failed to guard the rights of our folks doesn’t belong in that chair.’
‘He sat by way of the assembly, and sadly, he gifted the Godavari water, which actually belongs to the folks of Telangana, to Chandrababu Naidu. I condemn this act of our Chief Minister…A Chief Minister who failed to guard the rights of our folks doesn’t belong in that chair. We demand that he instantly resign’
Kavitha scathing comment on Telangana CM got here after a gathering was held on Wednesday on the Ministry of Jal Shakti between the Union Minister of Jal Shakti C R Patil, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu to deal with the water-related points between the 2 states.
During the assembly key points regarding water administration have been deliberated upon. Both states agreed on the set up of telemetry units for actual time monitoring of water flows within the Krishna Basin, a Jal Shakti Ministry launch stated.
A launch from Telangana CMO said that each side agreed to allocate the Godavari River Management Board in Hyderabad and the Krishna RMB in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh acceded to Telangana proposal to restore the celebrated Srisailam undertaking instantly.
To handle the remaining points in a complete and technical method, it was determined to represent a committee comprising senior officers and technical consultants from each states and the central authorities. This committee will work collaboratively to review the excellent issues and recommend viable options to make sure equitable and environment friendly water sharing, Jal Shakti Ministry stated within the launch
The Ministry of Jal Shakti reaffirmed its dedication to fostering cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and facilitating sustainable water administration practices for the advantage of the folks of each states. (ANI)
