CHIBA (TR) – Early on Monday, Kanta Sonoda climbed from the balcony of his fourth-floor condo in a constructing in Urayasu City and over to a neighboring unit.
After receiving a report about “a suspicious person,” officers from the Urayasu Police Station arrived on the scene and detained the would-be Spider-man on suspicion of tried trespassing.
“I wanted to experience the sense of accomplishment of moving to the next room and the thrill of almost falling,” stated Sonoda, 23, upon his apprehension.
Sonoda works as a clerk within the Urayasu City Comprehensive Support for the Elderly Division.
Following the arrest of Sonoda, Urayasu City commented, “We deeply regret that this incident has caused a significant loss of trust among our citizens, and we offer our deepest apologies. We will promptly verify the facts and take strict action.”
