TOKYO, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) — A residential hearth in Tokyo’s Adachi Ward early Friday has left one man lifeless.
The hearth was reported at round 4:15 a.m. native time in a two-story home in Adachi. Firefighters dispatched 20 hearth engines to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames roughly 90 minutes later.
The man was rescued from the burning dwelling however was later pronounced lifeless at a hospital. Authorities are nonetheless working to verify his identification.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police are investigating the reason for the hearth.
