After a five-year hiatus, Haruna Hori stars within the film “Sumiko 22,” a drama that humorously portrays the inner conflicts of a lady in her twenties, based mostly on director Sawako Fukuoka’s personal experiences.
The story follows the protagonist, who realizes her emotions have gotten imprecise, as she tries to honor her senses by means of conversations with herself.
Sumiko Shizuoka, performed by Haruna Hori, feels her likes, dislikes, and humorousness are unclear. She decides to converse with herself to make clear these emotions. Sumiko values her household’s cat enormously and realizes the necessity for scrumptious chocolate after trying to slot in with others. Eventually, she quits her job at an organization she joined after graduating from college, solely 4 months in, and begins a brand new life.
The movie is about to hit theaters on June 29, 2024.
