Tickets for Shirakawa-go Illumination Nearly Sold-Out

GIFU, Jan 16 (News On Japan) –
Shirakawa-go village, certainly one of Gifu’s must-visit World Heritage Site locations identified for its fairy-like gasshō-zukuri type farmhouses, has begun an illumination occasion on Sundays, though tickets are restricted to 4,000 individuals.

Blanketed in pristine white snow, the thatched roofs of the gassho homes started glowing in a heat orange hue on January 14, because the lights turned on simply previous 5:30 PM.

Thirty-two snow-covered gassho-style buildings have been lit up by 108 lights, making a magical scene.

The illumination occasion maintains a strict reservation system, with about 4,000 individuals capable of obtained tickets upfront.

Only 5 extra light-ups are scheduled, primarily on Sundays, however it’s reported that tickets for future dates are almost bought out.
