U.S. dollar retreats as threat sentiment improves

NEW YORK, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar eased towards its main rivals in late buying and selling on Monday, as threat sentiment picked up, subduing demand for the safe-haven foreign money.

The dollar index, which measures the dollar towards six main friends, fell 0.68 p.c to 110.1190.

In late New York buying and selling, the euro was as much as 1.0028 U.S. {dollars} from 0.9951 {dollars} within the earlier session, and the British pound elevated to 1.1533 U.S. {dollars} from 1.1368 {dollars} within the earlier session.

The U.S. dollar purchased 146.56 Japanese yen, decrease than 146.82 Japanese yen of the earlier session. The U.S. dollar decreased to 0.9878 Swiss francs from 0.9944 Swiss francs, and it rose to 1.3492 Canadian {dollars} from 1.3478 Canadian {dollars}. The U.S. dollar decreased to 10.8191 Swedish Kronor from 10.9077 Swedish Kronor.
