TOKYO, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) — Tokyo shares closed decrease on Monday as buyers adopted a wait-and-see stance forward of key financial coverage conferences within the United States and Japan later this week.
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei stock index, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, ended down 12.95 factors, or 0.03 %, from Friday at 39,457.49.
The broader Topix index, in the meantime, completed 8.23 factors, or 0.30 %, decrease at 2,738.33.
