In a case by which Maritoshi Akimoto, a member of the House of Representatives, obtained roughly 30 million yen from a wind energy technology firm over an offshore wind energy technology mission, the president of the wind energy technology firm in Tokyo requested the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office’s Special Investigation Department to bribe Mr. Akimoto. I discovered from an interview with a lawyer that he intends to confess the fees in opposition to him.
On the opposite hand, Rep. Akimoto has not made any feedback to date.
