SAITAMA (TR) – There have been a collection of bag-snatching incidents throughout the prefecture. Police recorded 12 thefts over a three-day interval, reviews TV Asahi (Feb. 27).
Camera footage taken in Saitama City’s Minuma Ward on the night time of January 24 reveals a bike driving towards visitors in entrance of a car parking zone. A bicycle seems to be chasing it from behind.
According to police, the sufferer was a 14-year-old boy whose backpack was stolen by two riders on the bike.
When the sufferer chased after them, the 2 males appeared on the contents of the backpack. When he approached, they deserted the backpack and fled.
Two minutes earlier, there had been one other snatch theft in the identical Ward. Forty minutes later, one other one occurred in neighboring Iwatsuki Ward.
Koshigaya, Misato and Soka cities
The rash of thefts didn’t cease there.
Three extra incidents occurred in Koshigaya, Misato and Soka cities the next day.

The following night time, a person had his backpack snatched from the entrance basket of his bicycle Saitama City’s Kita Ward. One different case occurred in Satte City, two others in Kuki City.
All of the instances occurred between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Police are investigating whether or not they’re all associated.
