TOKYO, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) — Mount Sakurajima, a volcano in southwestern Japan’s Kagoshima prefecture, erupted on Wednesday, the climate company right here stated.
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) issued a level-2 warning on its five-tier scale, and can increase it to stage 3 if volcanic exercise will increase, it stated.
