Formula 1 leaders intend to cancel scheduled races within the Middle East due to the conflict in Iran and instability within the area, ESPN reported Friday.
The choice is predicted to be introduced over the weekend.
Grand Prix races have been set for April 12 in Bahrain and April 19 in Saudi Arabia. The choice couldn’t be delayed due to the time groups have to ship what they want for the races by way of freight.
Iran has launched drone and missile assaults on each Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in response to the Israel- and U.S.-led conflict on Iran.
Just a month in the past, groups have been conducting testing on the Bahrain International Circuit.
The races usually are not prone to be rescheduled, given the total F1 calendar, ESPN reported.
That would depart F1 with a 22-race schedule and a five-week hole between the Japanese Grand Prix on March 29 and the Miami Grand Prix on May 3.
The Chinese Grand Prix shall be run on Sunday.
