TOKYO, tenth August, 2022 (WAM/Reuters) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 hit northern Japan early on Thursday, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) stated.
The epicentre of the earthquake was within the Soya area of the northern island of Hokkaido, and at a depth of three kilometres, the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Reliance (NIED) stated.
No tsunami warning had been issued, broadcaster NHK stated. There had been no rapid studies of injury.
