World file holder Kenya Karasawa gained the gold medal within the males’s 5,000m blind class remaining on the Para Athletics World Championships held in Paris, France. Shinya Wada, a bronze medalist on this occasion on the Tokyo Paralympics, completed fourth, incomes a spot in subsequent 12 months’s Paris Paralympics.
Kenya Karasawa stated with a smile, “I’m very happy with my first gold medal, and it was fun running with so many cheers.” On prime of that, he regarded again on the event of the race, saying, “Up to the 3,000-meter mark, I was trying to stay calm and run at my own rhythm, and when the guide runners changed, I was thinking of getting into medal range.” Looking forward to subsequent 12 months’s Paris Paralympics, he enthusiastically stated, “This gold medal is just a passing point. This race has revealed some issues, so I want to do my best with the aim of competing in next year’s Paris Paralympics.”
On the opposite hand, Shinya Wada, who completed in 4th place, mirrored, “I thought I was going to keep up with the leading group, but I couldn’t keep up with the high pace. The reason I lost was that I couldn’t get involved in the battle at the end.” On prime of that, he stated, “It’s frustrating because I was aiming for the gold medal, but I want to pick myself up and do my best in the 1500m.”
