BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) — The Chinese Athletics Association has named a roster of 41 athletes for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary this month.
Gong Lijiao, 34, shall be looking for her third world title for girls’s shot put in her ninth world championships whereas Liu Shiying goals for her first worlds title within the javelin throw.
The Olympic champion duo shall be joined by teammates together with males’s lengthy soar reigning champion Wang Jianan, defending champion in girls’s discus throw Feng Bin and the bronze medalist at Tokyo Liu Hong.
The 2023 World Athletics Championships will function 49 medal occasions. More than 2,100 athletes from over 200 groups will compete at Hungary’s new National Athletics Centre between August 19-27.
