Off the northwest coast of the Noto Peninsula, the seafloor rises 3m after a significant earthquake; Japan Coast Guard investigation | NHK

A survey by the Japan Coast Guard has revealed that the seafloor has risen by roughly 3 meters off the northwest coast of the Noto Peninsula after final month’s huge earthquake. Since the uplifted space coincides with the situation of an energetic fault, the Japan Coast Guard says it’s thought that the uplift was attributable to this earthquake.
