Nifty jumps 391 factors to 24,774, Sensex closes at 78,639 as decrease crude costs, FII inflows gas rally

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 3 (ANI): Domestic fairness markets ended sharply increased on Monday, supported by a steep fall in crude oil costs, renewed overseas institutional investor (FII) inflows and energy within the rupee, whereas traders remained centered on the upcoming RBI financial coverage assembly.

The Nifty 50 closed at 24,774.30, up 390.70 factors or 1.60 per cent, whereas the BSE Sensex settled at 78,639.03, gaining 544.39 factors or 0.70 per cent.

Vinod Nair, Head of Research at Geojit Investments mentioned the decline in crude oil costs amid expectations of renewed dialogue between the United States and Iran lifted investor sentiment by easing considerations over inflation and company earnings.

‘The decline in crude oil costs, pushed by expectations of renewed dialogue between the U.S. and Iran, offered aid to markets by easing considerations over inflation and company earnings. Market sentiment was additional supported by a rebound in FII inflows and a strengthening rupee, though elevated U.S. bond yields stay a key threat to the sustainability of overseas flows into rising markets,’ Nair mentioned.

Among sectoral indices on the NSE, most sectors led to constructive territory. Nifty IT emerged as the highest gainer, rising 2.68 per cent, adopted by Nifty FMCG, which gained 1.72 per cent. Nifty Metal superior 1.55 per cent, Nifty Auto rose 1.48 per cent, Nifty PSU Bank gained 1.41 per cent, Nifty Consumer Durables climbed 1.39 per cent, Nifty Oil & Gas added 0.97 per cent, and Nifty Pharma ended 0.49 per cent increased. Nifty Media was the one main sectoral index to shut within the pink, falling greater than 3 per cent.

Nair mentioned the continuing first-quarter earnings season has been higher than anticipated, with small-cap corporations outperforming their bigger friends.

‘The Q1FY27 earnings season continues to progress forward of expectations, with small-cap corporations rising because the strongest performers relative to large- and mid-cap friends. Investors will intently watch the upcoming RBI coverage assembly for commentary on inflation dangers, liquidity circumstances, and the longer term coverage trajectory, though rates of interest are extensively anticipated to stay unchanged,’ he added.

Supporting market sentiment, Brent crude oil costs fell greater than 4 per cent to USD 83.8 per barrel amid easing geopolitical tensions. The Indian rupee was buying and selling at Rs 95.33 per US dollar on the time of submitting this report.
