Shizuoka, Jan 28 (News On Japan) –
A novel ‘Long Bath Contest’ for capybaras was held in Ito, Shizuoka Prefecture, that includes contributors from 5 places throughout Japan that home these creatures.
The occasion, now in its twelfth 12 months, noticed participation from Izu Shaboten Zoo and 4 different services from Nagasaki, Saitama, Tochigi, and Ishikawa, all of which nurture capybaras.
The rule of the competition was easy: compete for the longest time spent within the bathtub. Representing Izu Shaboten Zoo was a feminine capybara named ‘Truffle’.
Truffle relaxed within the bathtub, clocking a time of 1 hour, 50 minutes, and 49 seconds.
However, the victory was clinched by ‘Donut’ from Nagasaki Biopark, who soaked for two hours, 53 minutes, and 57 seconds, leaving the native favourite Truffle in second place.
