A Nagoya-based geiko affiliation paid a courtesy go to to Aichi Governor Omura on February 4th and expressed its want to carry out on the opening ceremony of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games set to start in September.
The Nagoya-based geiko group Meigiren Association visited Omura on February 4th, with some members having beforehand carried out on the closing ceremony of the final Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, and voicing enthusiasm about showing on the opening ceremony of the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Games in September.
Momotaro, head of the Meigiren Association, stated: “We hope more people will come to know Nagoya’s traditional culture.”
Omura welcomed the concept, saying he’s vastly wanting ahead to providing hospitality via conventional tradition.
