OSAKA, Nov 22 (News On Japan) –
A male caretaker at Tennoji Zoo in Osaka has been despatched to prosecutors on suspicion of stealing greens and fruits used as monkey feed.
The 47-year-old caretaker allegedly positioned the feed objects, saved within the zoo’s kitchen, into his bag and took them in October this 12 months. The greens and fruits had been supposed for the zoo’s monkeys.
According to the zoo, feed had been going lacking for over a month previous to the incident, prompting the ability to report the theft to the police.
The police haven’t disclosed whether or not the caretaker has admitted to the allegations.
The zoo said, “We will take strict measures after confirming the facts.”
