(CMSI), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group, has secured a contract with the City of Atlanta’s Department of Aviation to renovate and improve the Automated People Mover (APM) system at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The contract spans a decade, from March 2026 to March 2036.
The settlement includes a complete renewal of the APM system, referred to as the ATL SkyTrain, together with updates to the sign system, extra automobiles, and the substitute of present ones. This system, which connects the primary passenger terminal with the rental automotive middle over a 2.2-kilometer elevated double-tracked guideway, is a vital part of the airport’s infrastructure.
