SANO, TOCHIGI, Nov 12 (News On Japan) –
A 53-year-old man has been arrested for getting into a ladies’s restroom at a freeway service space whereas dressed as a lady to steal used menstrual merchandise.
The man, an organization worker from Sano City, Tochigi, is suspected of getting into the ladies’s restroom on the Sano service space on the Tohoku Expressway round midnight Saturday, with the intent of stealing used menstrual hygiene merchandise.
According to police, the person was apprehended as he exited the ladies’s restroom dressed as a lady, carrying a long-haired wig, and was present in possession of used menstrual merchandise.
During interrogation, he admitted to the allegations, stating, “I liked to look at menstrual products.”
Police are probing the potential for further offenses.
