A San Diego Lifeguard Swift Water Rescue crew rescued an grownup and a baby trapped in a automobile by quickly rising flood waters Thursday on the Fashion Valley mall.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokes girl Candace Hadley was on the scene and described the flooding following Thursday morning rains as “a river,” and stated low-lying Fashion Valley, at 7007 Friars Road, has “very significant flooding,” particularly within the Avenida Del Rio space.
Hadley stated SDFRD crews carried out a swift-water rescue operation. One grownup and one baby grew to become trapped of their automobile resulting from flooding in Mission Valley and have been rescued by lifeguards,” she stated. Their ages weren’t offered.
The division strongly urged residents to keep away from all flooded areas attributable to the storm. “Take safety precautions seriously,” Hadley suggested. “Do not drive through flood waters no matter where they are or how fast they seem to be flowing.
