Keio Plaza Hotel Co., Ltd. is ready to reopen its conventional Japanese tea ceremony room, ‘Sho-fu-an,’ on April 6, 2026, following intensive renovations. Situated on the tenth flooring of its Main Tower, the ‘Sho-fu-an’ has been a cultural fixture because the resort’s opening in 1971.

The reopening comes after a closure since May 2024 for flooring renovations. In celebration of the room’s renewed operations, the resort will introduce two Japanese cultural experiences: the ‘Tea Ceremony Experience’ and the ‘Tencha Tea Preparation Experience.’ These periods can be led by a licensed tea ceremony grasp, who will present English commentary to accommodate worldwide guests.
