Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] May 22 (ANI): Actor Kangana Ranaut received the Best Actress Award for her film ‘Thalaivii’ at Osaka Tamil International Film Festival in Japan. The actress took to Instagram and expressed her gratitude for the popularity and honour given to her.
She wrote in her put up, “Thank you for this honour….Thalaivii is indeed a piece of my heart… many thanks for this Acknowledgment.”‘Thalaivii’ is a 2021 biographical drama movie based mostly on the lifetime of actor-turned-politician Jayalalithaa (performed by Kangana Ranaut), her relationship with the illustrious M. G. Ramachandran (performed by Arvind Swami), and her turbulent ascent to energy as the previous Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Kangana has given her greatest for the movie and he or she put numerous effort into making the character look actual. In reality, she gained 20 kgs in simply six months for her function.
The 36-year-old actress made her movie debut in 2006 with the film ‘Gangster’ and later made her mark with the movies like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Queen’, ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, ‘Panga’, amongst others.
