Japan’s Economic Minister Yasutoshi Saito visited Hokkaido on Sunday to examine the development website of Rapidus’s manufacturing unit, which goals to mass-produce next-generation semiconductors.

This marks Saito’s first go to to the development website in Chitose City, Hokkaido, the place he reviewed the progress of the continuing work.

Rapidus, in collaboration with IBM within the United States, is advancing the event of next-generation semiconductors. The preparations for mass manufacturing are reported to be on monitor. Rapidus plans to put in the most recent manufacturing gear within the manufacturing unit by the tip of the 12 months, with trial manufacturing of next-generation semiconductors anticipated to start by subsequent spring.
